With vehicles technology and safety features getting more and more precise and effective, the modification side of things becomes more and more difficult.

The biggest issues with modifying a vehicle in this day and age is making sure the factory fitted safety features stay working, both for your own safety and the safety of other road users.

The testing of lifted and modified components is extremely expensive and there are many hoops, paperwork and testing that needs to be done to make these things a reality.

Up until recently, we had our own coil conversion for the 79 series Landcruiser (pre vehicle stability control) that performed well both on and off-road (click here to read about Thug Truck).

Once these new stability controlled vehicles came to market we simply didn’t have the time to dedicate ourselves to a specific R&D program to make the future of our kits a reality. We were on the hunt to provide our future customers with options.


Having already been heavily involved in the calculated geometry that makes the rear of the Landcruiser handle correctly there was only one option to align ourselves with, Superior Engineering.

Superior is a household name in the 4wd world and has had substantial growth especially in last 10 years.

SSM, what is it?
SSM, or Second Stage Manufacturing, allows specific, tested modifications to be performed to the vehicle BEFORE its ever first registered. The tested modifications are fitted by a designated and approved fitment facility (now us) and the car leaves the dealership fully modified, yet fully legal.
